Home Renovation
Some of our most requested remodeling services include bathrooms, kitchens, basements, exterior upgrades, and more. Whether you’re updating a single space or reimagining your entire home, we don’t just meet expectations—we exceed them.
KBR Builders Steps
Every renovation starts with an on-site visit. We walk the home with you, discuss your goals, budget range, and timeline, and evaluate existing conditions. In Jersey Shore homes, this step is critical — older framing, previous renovations, and structural limitations often influence what’s possible.
1. Initial Consultation & Site Evaluation
2. Concept Development & Design Planning
Once goals are clear, we begin shaping the renovation plan. This may include layout changes, room flow, structural considerations, and finish direction. We focus on how the renovation will function day-to-day, not just how it will look.
4. Permits, Engineering & Pre-Construction Preparation
We handle permits, inspections, and any required engineering. At the same time, we finalize schedules, order materials, and coordinate trades. Proper preparation is especially important at the Jersey Shore, where permitting and inspections can affect timelines.
5. Construction & On-Site Project Management
3. Scope Definition, Budget Review & Proposal
With the design direction established, we prepare a detailed proposal outlining scope, materials, allowances, and pricing. We review everything with you so expectations are clear before construction begins.
Construction begins with demolition and progresses through framing, mechanicals, insulation, drywall, custom carpentry, and finishes. Our foreman supervises the job, coordinates trades, and ensures work is completed correctly and safely.
6. Finishes, Details & Quality Control
As the renovation nears completion, we focus on details — trim, paint, fixtures, and final installations. We review work internally to ensure it meets our standards before presenting the finished space to you.
7. Final Walkthrough & Project Close-Out
We complete a final walkthrough with you, address any remaining items, and close out permits and inspections. The renovation isn’t considered complete until everything is finished properly and approved.
